Today I discovered Shadowbox is not Vista friendly. Ah Vista, the anti-social operating system. The PC Newswire says it all.
In light of this, I redesigned the Elwood Construction site (now officially live at buildelwood.com) using flash instead of the Shadowbox slideshows.

Different look, but I like it. Also sent off a print order for fliers and business cards this evening (in between making spaghetti and meatballs).

Made a quick mock-up for a food review site today. Hey, they said they wanted a review site – they didn’t mention a review of what.

You can see it in action here, though only the navigation links work. It gives me ideas for yet another blog design, which I’m very tempted to try out.

Completed. Done. 48 hours later AndAny has switched from v3 to v4. I notice designs I’m especially pleased with have a habit of piecing themselves together easier then those I’m only half excited about. The coding of this was relatively stress free. What was wrong with the last design? Nothing, it just didn’t suit my current mood. You know how it goes.

In honor of the new look, I’m posting a brief history of AA in all it’s forms.
Or perhaps it’s an effort to emulate Allison, who not only remembers all the domains she’d had over the years, but also keeps snapshots of everything. (I’m always on a hopeless design snapshot quest, while trying to remember what exactly that particular domain was called.)

Juvenile Writers of Kansas City Classic is a collection of people focused on writing and publication. They offer several critique groups around town, I attend the one on Wednesday mornings because it’s close and fun.
