I’ve never been involved in a pageant, but it sounds like fun. It was certainly good to shoot Heather, the current Mrs. Kansas City. She braved the cold and opted out of her coat in the name of beauty. While I snapped away and dreamed of gloves.

Babies can either be the easiest or the hardest people to photograph, depending on their mood. Sam, an easy-going baby with lots to say, was a delight. His serious expressions were enough to make anyone smile.


Run by Patrick and Mike Elwood, Elwood Construction has done some amazing things to homes in KC and the Lake of the Ozarks. They signed me up to photograph some of their local work and put it online.

Juvenile Writers of Kansas City Classic is a collection of people focused on writing and publication. They offer several critique groups around town, I attend the one on Wednesday mornings because it’s close and fun.
